Just in case you didnât know, Holiday Season Is HERE!! They always sneak up on me, how about you?Â
I like to have my diffusers going during this season that will help me stary relaxed and calm while I make my breads, wrap gifts, and wait for guests to arrive. Some of my favorite blends I like to have in the diffusers are below, but I am going to go over the individual oils first.
OK, let’s see which essential oils are best for Calming during this season or any other stress season you may have.
Lavender Oil, Lavandula angustifolia, is recommended for any ailment that has to do with relaxing your body since it has such a calming effect. You can relax, get better sleep, get rid of nervousness, and even reduce your overall amount of panic attacks by using lavender. Â
Lavender is really great in a bath salts when you are trying to calm down, or you can put it in an oil diffuser. There are also DIY lotions and scrubs that can use lavender essential oils that will also help to relax you.Â

Bergamot Oil, Citrus begramia, has a two-for-one effect when used. Bergamot has calming effects and has uplifting effects. You can use Bergamot to help calm your anxious feelings and it will also help uplift you. Bergamot has a citrusy aroma. Â
Added Bergamot Oil to your morning tea for an Earl Grey tea or diffused to help relieve stress.Â

Clary Sage Oil, Salvis sclarea, is another great essential oil to use for itâs calming and relaxing aroma. You can use Clary Sage in your diffusers or put it in a linen spray for nighttime relaxation. Â
Another relaxing and calming essential oil is Roman Chamomile, Anthemis nobilis. This oil helps with your anxiety, worry, and irritability. It is often recommended for people who are having trouble sleeping because you will feel your body and mind start to relax when you use it. Â
You can use Roman Chamomile in your tea just before bedtime or you can apply it to the bottoms of your feet for a restful night.
However, it is not typically recommended to people with allergy problems, so if you suffer from allergies, it is a good idea to be careful.
Ylang Ylang, like Bergamot, is an oil that has both the calming and uplifting effects when used. Ylang Ylang, Cananga odorata, has been used in many applications, from creams and lotions to diffusers and inhalers. Â
Petitgrain Essential Oil, Citrus aurantium, is another wonderful essential oil to have handy for stress relief. Known as âLavender for menâ, Petitgrain has a âfresh, herbaceous aromaâ that make this essential oil enjoyable in all your living spaces. Â
Add Petitgrain to your diffusers for a calming aroma. Or you can add it to an inhaler and take this wonderful oil wherever you go.
Vetiver Essential Oil has been used for many as a grounding essential oil. We use Vetiver in a blend for my son in his Focusing Blend essential oil for school. Vetiver has an exotic aroma that is well liked by many. Â
We use Vetiver in a roller ball with a carrier oil and we also use this on a diffuser pendant for calming throughout the day.Â

As a bonus, here are some additional essential oils that also have calming effects on those stressful days. Remember, always dilute you essential oils with carriers oils/lotions or in a diffuser. These oils include:Â
Rose is an essential oil you can take for stress, anxiety, and depression. It is safe whether you have allergies, are pregnant or nursing, or even if you are extra sensitive to certain oils. As with all oils, just make sure your rose essential oils is properly diluted or mixed with a carrier oil. We have a roller ball to use, in case you prefer to purchase your Rose Touch Essential Oil already diluted. You can easily add some to a pot of boiling water an inhale it to relax or add it to a footbath to start relaxing your body.
- Frankincense / Frankincense Touch (diluted)
- BasilÂ
- GeraniumÂ
- Jasmine TouchÂ
- MandarinÂ

Try making your own blends with these essential oils to help with your stress and anxiety. You can add some drops to a hot bath to relax your body and mind, use them in a footbath, or create your own body treatments. During a panic attack, applying oils to your skin directly with a carrier oil might give you the fastest results.Â
